| The La Vista Community Foundation is a tax-exempt public charity founded in 1999 to allow individuals, businesses and corporations, through gifts and bequests, to establish permanent endowment funds, which will enhance the quality of life in La Vista, Nebraska. Its grant awards thus far have been directed to public safety, library resources, children's safety programs and recreation activities for youth. Additionally, directed funds support housing needs, youth sports programs, and the Mary Lou Anderson children's reading room at the La Vista Public Library.
